Uninsured Motorist Coverage

Uninsured Motorist Coverage

uninsured motorist

Uninsured motorist coverage is highly technical, the law is changing in this area and Legal Ride Motorcycle Lawyers have found that many lawyers don’t fully understand the requirements of the coverage. We have defended insurance companies for 21 years and we are very familiar with how uninsured motorist coverage works. It is extremely important you talk to a well qualified lawyer with actual trial experience before you talk to your insurance company following an accident.

If it’s a “hit and run” or “miss and run”, you can only hurt yourself by talking to your insurance company without a lawyer. In the best of circumstances, there are a lot of traps waiting when you talk to your insurance company. At least once a week Legal Ride Lawyers talk to someone who has given a statement to their insurance company before they called us which takes away their uninsured/underinsured motorist claim. We were reminded of this because we talked to a client this morning who probably ruined his ability to collect because he gave a statement without talking to Legal Ride first. There is some newer case law which we believe expands coverage but it’s untested in the courts yet. Please keep these things in mind if you are in anaccident.

If you are looking for an experienced lawyer to help you with an accident or if you have questions regarding your insurance coverage contact Legal Ride today.
